Our First Annual CCGI Tournament was a huge success! With the help of our Title sponsors and our celebrity guests, we are able to return to Jamaica and continue raising money for the children.

Richard Stephenson Foundation Chair, the Minister of Education, Maxine Henry Wilson, Celebrity Sponsors and Participants visited the Barracks Road Primary School. As a result of this visit, Actor/Comedian, Steve Harvey made a generous offer and donated various sporting equipment to the Barracks Road Primary School. Click here to read more.

Awards were presented to three distinguished individuals who exemplified humanitarian values that directly relates to the goals of RISARC and the CCGI Foundation. The Merrill Lynch Achievement Award was presented to Legendary Cricketer, Desmond Haynes. Actor, Richard Roundtree was presented with the Bear Stearns Award of Excellence. Dr. Vincent Lawrence was awarded the RISARC Business Leadership Award for his sterling contribution to the business community in Jamaica.

 

In 2006, CCGI returned to Montego Bay, Jamaica for the annual event. In addition to the tournament, RISARC held its first Healthcare Technology Conference over three days at the Ritz Carlton Resort. This was attended by oversees and local healthcare personnel, including the Minister of Health, Horace Daly.

 

The two-day golf event attracted a number of celebrities and local dignitaries to the various functions. The guests were feted at a cultural extravaganza at the Rose Hall Great House as well as an exquisite night of Jamaican food, drinks and entertainment in Spring Farm. The tournament was played at the White Witch and Cinnamon Hills Golf course followed by a formal presentation gala held at the Ritz Carlton ballroom.
